Call of Duty: World at War

Now there’s an original twist to keep things fresh…
Anyway, all joking aside, Activision has confirmed that the next Call of Duty is titled “World at War” and will officially be taking place during, yep, you guessed it, the Second World War.
As mentioned in our previous article, this game is being developed by Treyarch and will make use of an enhanced COD4 engine. Hopefully that means the game will control fluidly and not like that clunky feeling COD3.
I’m actually going to make a prediction, if I may: This will be the start of the COD series branching into two separate franchises for the next few years. We’ll be seeing COD: World at War 1, 2 and maybe even 3 developed by Treyarch. On the flip side, Infinity Ward will produce COD: Modern Warfare 2, 3, etc.
Just a thought that I had… I could be dead wrong of course, but it seems logical.
COD: World at War is scheduled for a 2008 release on numerous platforms.
