A demo for this sandbox game from Avalanche Studios & Eidos Interactive is now available, but Southpaw and Legacy controls are absent.
The retail version will be available towards the end of the month and I wouldn’t expect more control options to be included. Read the rest…

Upon learning of Airtight Games’ Dark Void, I held the belief that controls would either make or break this title, and at least for Legacy players, it’s pretty broken. Read the rest…

[December 18, 2009]

This demo became available via the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network on December 17. The first Army of Two didn’t offer alternative control schemes, but this time around a Southpaw option has been included, surprisingly. This sandbox game from Pandemic does not support Southpaw or Legacy and only offers the ability to invert the Y axis. You’ll have to make do with the default button layouts for navigating, shooting, driving and brawling as well since these aren’t configurable.
When unarmed, movement controls are similar to RE5’s “Type A” scheme in that the left analog stick is used for moving forward and turning left/right, while the camera is controlled with the right stick.
This may not be an issue for some, though problems will arise once a weapon is equipped. Read the rest…

[December 1, 2009]

Rogue Warrior, Rebellion’s tactical shooter that centers on Navy SEAL Dick Marcinko unfortunately doesn’t offer any alternative control layouts.
Rebellion is also currently working on the upcoming Aliens vs Predator game that’s due in early 2010 so the odds of seeing alternate controls in that one aren’t good - but expressing your concerns never hurts. Read the rest…

Slippery Controls in WET

[September 12, 2009]

A2M’s WET will arrive on retail shelves next week, though a demo has been floating around on the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network for a while now.
Unfortunately, Southpaw and Legacy controls were not present in the demo. The options for the full game, in all likelihood, won’t be any different.
Sorry, folks. At least ODST isn’t too far off.
[Thanks, SouthpawMadness]
