Supported control styles

- Southpaw
- Legacy
- SP Legacy

**Well geez I am just a royal F’up as of late, but I am human (maybe) and I have made a huge oversight with Frontlines. Apparently this game does not support Legacy or SP Legacy control schemes but it DOES support Southpaw, I garauntee it!

I have the game loaded in my 360 right now and as 2Three mentioned it was easy to make this mistake. NEVER is my 20 years of gaming have I seen anything like this, I don’t understand who KAOS studios was talking to and perhaps there was a crossed line in development but the options for Legacy and Southpaw Legacy are anything but. Again what you’ll find is these options only switch a couple of button functions essentially creating button map variations of Southpaw and default control styles.

Although my apologies do not make up for the loss of your hard earned money, I offer it to all of you Legacy players that purchased this game only to be let down. I would also like to thank the members that brought this issue to our attention, without all of you maintaining accurate data would be next to impossible.

I am currently attempting to contact someone at KAOS studios regarding this issue because I really believe this is a crossed wire in develpment and KAOS Studios had every intention of including these neglected control options. Expect updates to follow.

Well I hope some of you didn’t see my previous post on this title because I was wrong, DEAD WRONG. KAOS studios have given us a very playable game in Frontlines as the retail game supports all four standard controls schemes. Sadly there is no button mapping but at first glance, I sure thought there was, and you can see why I thought so by checking the control screen pictures below.

Set in the not so distant future ‘Frontlines: Fuel of War’ is a multiplayer shoot em up with a game mode set on a scale similar to games like Battlefield and Tribes. F:FOW supports up to 32 players simultaneously on multiplayer mode. The maps are quite large and there are plenty of support payload options to keep you playing for hours on end with items like the repair torch and RC helicopters. There are ground and air vehicles in addition to your standard foot soldier and the greatest part of this, for us, is that players can choose from the four control standards in all three of these aspects. Meaning that you could, for example, choose default or southpaw for the ground player aspect, another style for ground vehicles, ans yet another control style for the air vehicles. Really just great stuff and very considerate of KOAS to include in the title.

Frontlines, like Battlefield and Tribes before it, has potentially hundreds of hours of multiplayer gameplay. Especially if you like becoming proficient at every aspect of a game such as this. Also the game itself, although nothing new, is quite fun to play. I really recommend this to folks that want their fix of large scale multiplayer mayhem and were let down by the lack of controls options in Battlefield 2 on both XBOX and XBOX360.

Frontlines: Fuel of War earns the big THUMBS UP! Happy gaming folks!
