Legendary

I recall hearing about this upcoming shooter a while back, but my mind put it on the back burner because of some of the higher profile games that are on the horizon. However, last night I caught an episode of The Electric Playground where a nice feature on the game was aired so I figured I would mention it.

Being developed by Spark Unlimited, you play as a fellow who has inadvertently opened Pandora’s Box and unleashed an array of menacing creatures and demons on the world. Not good. So what else would you do in this situation but grab an assault rifle to start taking out everything in sight?
The game is sporting some impressive environments. The weapons are striking as well. And it should look good, because it’s using Epic’s Unreal Engine.
Due to the surplus of shooters on the way this year, I thought that it was possible that some of you guys and gals that might find this title interesting haven’t heard of it yet, as there hasn’t been much press coverage on it to date. And I would imagine that fans of Doom or those looking forward to Left 4 Dead might want to give this one a try (depending on the availability of alt-controls) when it comes out on September 30 for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Does anyone have info from someone who visited E3 ref control schemes (legacy, southpaw etc. ) for these games.
It’s difficult to get excited about all the new games when I probably wont be able to play them. Thank goodness for GOW2 (I presume it will a least be the same controls as GOW - fingers crossed).
Thanks

Just like developers, people who get to preview games before the general public, or those who are lucky enough to visit E3 also don’t like to give any information on controls. I actually don’t think they’re allowed to. But as soon as we know anything about these games, it will be up on the site
I’m also exciited about Gears of War 2 and I think it’s a (fairly) safe assumption that Epic will offer full support for alt-controls as usual. There is also talk that an alternate button layout that is similar to the one used in Uncharted will be utilized, and there has also been some hints that another config will be present that will map roadie running to a button seperate from the one used for cover. I’m hoping that the problems with roadie running in Legacy will be corrected as well.
