Next Halo Game: No Master Chief

Now here is the first of many surprises that the gaming world will be in store for this week: The next Halo game is supposedly going to feature a more tactical style of game play reminiscent of Ghost Recon and Gears of War. The vibe is also apparently going to be much darker, which should be interesting.

And here is the big shocker: Master Chief may be MIA.

I tend to think that Halo fans at this point would embrace a new approach after three games that followed the same format, but no Master Chief? It should be very interesting to see how gamers (and Halo freaks like SQU1FFY) respond to this!
