Shooter Showdown: Gears 2 vs Resistance 2

Now that the influx of new releases is beginning to slow down, we’re all left with the burning question as to which games we’re going to spend our hard earned coin on.

The following video courtesy of IGN tackles that question and compares Gears of War 2 with Resistance 2 in order to determine which one is more deserving of your attention, and/or money:

Their conclusion is interesting to say the least, as two years ago when the originals went head to head, Gears of War was considered the winner by many, hands down.

    does resistance have legacy? If not then gears 2 all the way buddy, stuff the crappy gaystation!

    This is good news. I received my copy of Resistance 2 yesterday :-) Can confirm that the controls remained the same as in Resistance 1.
    Still have to finish Far Cry 2 (62%) before I will look into this game. Wonder how many kilometres I did so far in Far Cry 2 ;-)

    No Legacy in Resistance…

    Which is why Gears would be my pick - even though I still haven’t played either of them.

    Well I do a lot of the side-missions of Far Cry 2, so this tends to take quite some time. Do use the “MGL 140″ grenade launcher at the moment, way to powerful but can’t resist to use it ;-)

    Well, I pick diamonds up if they are on my way to a mission. Overall you get enough diamonds from the missions to buy all the equipments you need. I there would be more diamonds in the cases I would maybe bother about it.

    Hey I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on a thread I started over at the Epic forums. This basically is a request to fix the issue of turning side to side while in a roadie run or while chainsawing (in Legacy or Southpaw). Check it out and help keep this thread alive!

    And yes, I vote for Gears 2! Of course, because it has Legacy.
