Slippery Controls in WET

wet.jpg

A2M’s WET will arrive on retail shelves next week, though a demo has been floating around on the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Network for a while now.

Unfortunately, Southpaw and Legacy controls were not present in the demo. The options for the full game, in all likelihood, won’t be any different.

Sorry, folks. At least ODST isn’t too far off.

[Thanks, SouthpawMadness]

I tried this demo using my Southpaw mod controller and I have to say it was really fun. Sliding along the floor in slo-mo while picking off the bad guys is great.

It’s a little akward to press the face buttons when controling the character, but that’s not suprising condsidering it doesn’t support southpaw.

I have a similar problem in Gears Of War using the (A) button. In order to roll, roadie run and take cover I have to take my thumb off the left stick and move it over to the right one and then back again. A D-pad / face button swap would work really well in this situation.
