Southpaw in Borderlands

borderlands.jpg

Some good news for all of you lefties – Borderlands sports the Southpaw* configuration. Several different button layouts are offered as well, but Legacy is not available, unfortunately. Sorry, folks…

[Thanks, SouthpawMadness]

*Southpaw switches the triggers as pointed out by KtK

Southpaw, yes but left and right triggers have been also switched…

^Post updated to reflect that, thanks.

I know some players prefer the triggers swapped in Southpaw, but many don’t. It would be best to let people choose.

Gosh darn it all to heck. How difficult is it to put just 4 stick layouts in there?

Also, why do developers go to the trouble of testing / making several different button layouts when they could just allow button mapping and let the player sort it out for themselves? Surely that would take less effort that putting in 4 or 5 different layouts, that all have to be playtested.

Let’s hope they put legacy option in a update like L4D. All my friend are playing Borderlands that suck. At least Forza 3 is coming out this week

so the game ties the triggers to the thumbstick configuration?
I hate games like that. I want normal triggers and swapped thumbsticks.

Yeah the switching of triggers is lame and stupid… if only these devs got it through their heads: Southpaw does not necessarily mean lefties.
