Unreal Tournament 3 Controls

ut3_logo.gif

Yes it’s official, I can confirm that Unreal Tournament 3 has all four thumbstick configurations (default, southpaw, legacy & legacy-southpaw) plus three button mapping options (came out in Australia on 1/7 much to my surprise).

This is great news for us legacy and legacy-southpaw users who have only seen one other game (R6V2) this year to include our thumbstick configurations. Keep up the good work Epic!!

This is great news for all.

It’s also nice to see that legacy and Sp legacy options are still kicking around. Only 2 games all year have included these options… good to see that Epic remains an alt-control friendly developer.

I can’t want to get my hands on this game.

Mate this game is great. Multiplayer online reminds me heaps of TS3, unbelievably fun!

    Awesome.

Can you play against bots too, as seen in TS?

More power to EPIC and their support of alternate styles.

I’m really surprised that some games don’t include these styles, and I’ll gladly purchase UT3 over Bad Company, for the simple fact that I can only play one of them due to my required setup.

PS - Please don’t do anymore reviews on a disabled gamers site, it makes us sound mentally challenged: we’re just left handed!

Sorry Nathan, if Mark from AbleGamers wants my help again, then yes, I will be doing more reviews there.

If you don’t like that, then maybe you shouldn’t be here because you have taken my guest review, and what AbleGamers is all about, completely out of context.

Not only is there bots, you can play with them online! So when people want to join you, it will replace a bot with the real player, how good is that?!!

    @Nathan Rain

Left-handed gamers, as myself, seek alternate controls.
    Disabled gamers seek alternate controls.
Even right-handed gamers would benefit from alternate controls.

So why should we not join our forces to put more weight to our request?

Not only does Unreal Tornement 3 support Alt-thumbstick config’s but the real icing on the cake is that this game comes with FULLY CUSTOMISEABLE CONTROLS. That’s right folks you read correct you can re-map all the button controls to which ever buttons you like, this is the way controls in games should be.

EPIC Games you get my vote of Developer of the year.

Got this last night, it’s great. Not only is there support for all four stick layouts, there is an option to change EVERY button to your liking. This is, my friends, the new standard for FPS control setups.

Thanks Squ1ff and SuperScurry, I updated the Xbox Control page to reflect this :)

where in unreal 3 for xbox do you change the thumbstick to lefthanded?

    @ dradius

From the Main Menu, go into “Settings” then select “Input”

Then push the Y button to bring up the Xbox 360 controller menu where you can then switch your stick layout to Southpaw
