War World (XBLA)

Alternative Controls Supported:
-None

It’s another great week on XBLA as Megaman 9 sees it’s Xbox release. But perhaps you have already purchased it on WiiWare or the PSN you may want to give War Worlds a try. A third person shooter, ported from a 2005 PC game, War World has you controlling giant mechanized weapons in simple death match, team, and arcade modes.

The demo itself is really short….REALY f’n short. I played it twice and got about a minute and a half of to shoot at the AI controlled enemies. The game seemed like it MIGHT have potential but you aren’t allowed to realize that because of the brief period you get to play. Seriously, download the demo so you can laugh at how pathetically short it is. /RANT

As you see above there are no alternative controls but the controls are simple so modified controllers are going to work great. The game looks great for arcade title on par with a last gen game, and it has giant robots coupled with shooting. What more could a guy want? OK, a lot of things, but I’m not starting the list. Screen shot of the controls is below as always.
Enjoy folks.

Update: I got a RROD while playing this, I hope it’s the game and not my console. Stranger things have happened. Also, the PC demo lets you customize controls (surprise), doesn’t end after a minute, and supports joysticks.
